Our Artisans
Being born and brought up in Kashmir, I grew up surrounded by the rhythm of weaving and the soft murmur of artisans discussing colours, patterns, and textures. Every day, I would see them visiting our karkhana — some carrying freshly finished shawls, their threads shimmering in the light, and others bringing small samples of colour combinations, waiting for my father’s approval with quiet pride. These artisans are not just craftsmen; they are storytellers of Kashmir’s soul. Through their skilled hands, generations of artistry come alive — each weaves a reflection of patience, devotion, and beauty.
