Kalam and Kari - the two Persian words that form the basis of the Kalamkari art, which refers to a textile decoration that includes hand-painting motifs over shawls or other fabric. The same art form has been chosen by our artisan who works it over a handwoven Pashmina shawl in the form of large Persian paisleys. The art of Kalamkari is rooted in nature, as the ingredients used are purely natural. Perhaps this is the reason it blends with sustainable Pashmina flawlessly and makes the end product a delight to look at.
