These shawls are meticulously handspun by underprivileged and destitute women from Kashmir, showcasing remarkable skill and dedication. The intricate process involves hand weaving to create shawls that are not only exceptionally delicate but also visually captivating. The GI tag serves as a certification of their superior quality, affirming that these artistic pieces are crafted from the finest Ladakhi Cashmere with an ultra-fine fiber count ranging from 12 to 16 microns. The entire process involves local women handspinning the cashmere followed by a detailed handweaving, resulting in exquisite pieces of wearable art.
